I want to share some Leaky Gut Syndrome diet advice with you because diet is one of the biggest areas that I see people struggle with when it comes to their Leaky Gut Syndrome Treatment.
Most people build up such a negative and fearful relationship with food. And this is the last thing that you want because it only adds more stress to your life which doesn’t help your body heal. So keep in mind that food itself is not the problem. It’s really how your body is digesting the foods that you eat.
So be sure to incorporate this Leaky Gut Syndrome diet advice into your treatment plan if you’re not already. It might just give you some much needed relief.
Remove Processed Foods
It doesn’t matter if you think you’re eating health foods. If it comes in a package, box, or wrapper then it has to go. The problem with processed foods is that they don’t provide your body with the nutrients that it needs because most nutrients are destroyed during the processing.

Instead, focus on unprocessed whole foods. These are the foods that contain the much needed nutrients that your body needs to support the healing process. This includes plenty of organic meats and veggies, a limited amount of fruit, and even some nuts and seeds. Most people do best with little to no grains on their Leaky Gut Syndrome diet.
Cooked vs. Raw Vegetables
This is an area of controversy for many but I wanted to touch on the subject because it is important. When your digestive tract is compromised, then your ability to fully digest the food that you eat is diminished. And if you’re not digesting it, then you’re not getting the nutrients you need. So I always recommend cooked vegetables which are much easier to digest than the raw variety.
Steer Clear of Your Food Intolerances and Allergies
There’s a difference between severe IgE related immune allergies and less noticeable IgG, IgM, IgA, etc ones. Most people know very well what their severe allergies are which often result in immediate and severe histamine reactions. But few people pay enough attention to the foods that they eat to realize that your headache, runny nose, fatigue, etc could very well be related to what you ate 30 minutes to 2 hours ago. And sometimes these reactions are so slight that they go completely unnoticed. But the damage is still occurring.
The most common intolerances and allergies when it comes to food are Gluten/Wheat, Milk/Dairy, Soy, Tofu, and Corn.
So do yourself a favor and read your labels to educate yourself on what is actually in the food that you are eating. And this becomes much easier if you simply stick to eating real whole foods which really only have 1 ingredient.
Listen to Your Body’s Needs
Everyone is always looking for the 1 diet that works whether it be a Leaky Gut Syndrome diet or any other kind of diet. But there is no 1 diet for everyone. And this is why listening to your body is so important.
If you eat a meal higher in animal protein with little to no grains and plenty of vegetables, how do you feel 2 or more hours later?
If you eat a meal with plenty of grains and vegetables and a little meat, how do you feel 2 or more hours later?
A little bit of experimentation can really help you determine what foods work best for you. And once you have a baseline then you can continue to fine tune your diet by adding more or less carbohydrates and meat until you find your optimal balance.
But just like everyone has a unique fingerprint, we all have unique diet requirements as well. If you can figure this part out then you should start seeing a noticeable different when you incorporate this into your Leaky Gut Syndrome diet plan.
Hopefully you’ve learned a few useful tips to help you tweak your diet so that you’re getting the best results with your healing efforts. Whatever you do, don’t underestimate the importance of your diet in this entire process. It’s your Leaky Gut Syndrome diet that sets the groundwork for all the other pieces of the healing process.
